Happy Thanksgiving from Brussels with Honey and Bacon
Hope you and your family are having a great day! Just wanted to send over a hearty “Happy Thanksgiving!” message full of gratitude, love, and one of my favorite recipes.
Maple-Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Bacon is a simple and delicious recipe for your Thanksgiving menu.
Maple-Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Bacon (Serves 6)
-
1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed
-
¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil
-
3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
-
4 slices bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
-
½ teaspoon salt
-
¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Here’s a One-Minute Video from AllRecipes on YouTube
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Place Brussels sprouts in a single layer in a baking dish.
Drizzle with olive oil and maple syrup; toss to coat.
Sprinkle with bacon; season with salt and pepper.
Roast in the preheated oven until bacon is crispy and Brussels sprouts are caramelized, about 45 minutes, stirring halfway through.
Fun fact: 77% of people refer to the tasty green veggies as “Brussel sprouts,” when the correct term is, in fact, “Brussels sprouts,” after Belgium’s capital city.
We hope you have a wonderful long weekend full of family, friends, football, and, of course, your favorite food.
Enjoy — and Happy Thanksgiving!
Love in Christ Jim
