I’m Jim Munchbach and I’ve been teaching Personal Finance at the Bauer College of Business at University of Houston for almost a decade.

Due to Covid-19, all instructors at the University of Houston were asked to take our courses online and On Demand.

Turns out, most students like the new format.

I’ve always wanted to make our course in Personal Finance available for people who may not be able to join us in the classroom.

So, Personal Finance is now available Online and On Demand.

Students tell me they really like the stories.

Over the years, I’ve told hundreds, maybe thousands, of stories.

All of the stories are based on real people and real experiences.

The names were changed to protect the innocent and the guilty.

We’re nearing the end of the semester and I wanted to spend a little extra time telling some of my favorite stories about investing.

This series of short stories is about 3 real investors who happened to be clients — and friends. There names have been changed and a few of the details have been edited for dramatic affect.
